Indian River 2007
The Club ride for 2007 was held once again in Indian River. We had such a good time last year we decided to go back again this year. The weather was sunny all weekend. The trails were in good condition Friday but by Sunday without any fresh snow there were sections that were "snirt" - snow/dirt combination. On Friday we rode through the Jordan Valley area and over to Tower Hill. The highest elevation in the lower penninsula at over 1750 feet. The views were spectacular. Saturday we rode over towards Harbor Springs and the Lark's Lake area. Traveled some trail and did some exploring via seasonal roads, two tracks, gas and power lines and secondary roads. The elevation changes made for some great viewing. Once again Saturday night we headed to the Brown Trout for dinner. Highly recommended.

Indian River 2006
This year's club ride was held in Indian River, February 16th thru the 19th. A total of 10 members rode with two members going up a day early. The Woodlands Resort served as home base.

The middle part of the state (including Newaygo County) was experiencing a combination of weather that included rain, thunderstorms, sleet, and snow which made travel to Indian River a challenge. But once everyone arrived in Indian River, there was more than enough snow (30 inches total) to make the trip enjoyable.

A combination of trail riding and off-road riding to destinations such as Lark's Lake, Mackinaw City, Cheyboygan, and Mancelona made for a memorable trip. If you are ever in Indian River, you must stop at the Brown Trout for dinner.
